The requirements of being on the board of the CCSQA is that nominees are actively involved in GLP, GCP and/or GMP Quality Assurance profession and officers (Immediate Past-President, President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary) must be affiliate or active members in good standing of the Society of Quality Assurance.

The Board of Directors consists of Officers and Directors who govern the chapter activities. Five of nine members of the board shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business decisions.  

Immediate Past-President (IPP)
The IPP will serve for one year immediately following the end of their mandate as President.  They shall serve as President until their successor is installed. The IPP is the chairperson of the Nominating Committee. The IPP will also be responsible for specific functions and committees as directed by the President

President
The President of the Chapter is the chairperson of the Board. Also the President should be present at all meetings of the Chapter and of the Board and may also perform other duties as may be directed by the Board or the Society of Quality Assurance (SQA). In the President’s absence, the following order of officers is followed; Vice-President, Past President, Secretary, Treasurer. The President shall keep in contact with developments in the field of research quality assurance and guide the Chapter in the formulation of constructive activities. The President will serve a year of one term following which they will accede to become the Past-President.

Vice President 
The Vice-President is elected annually by the Chapter members in good standing. The Vice President is responsible for replacing the President when required. The Vice-President shall be designated as the chairperson of the Program Committee.  The Program Committee shall develop educational programs and shall complete arrangements for speakers and for meeting places/forums (e.g. video conferences, internet forums, etc.). The Vice President will also be responsible for specific functions and committees as directed by the President.  The Vice President will serve a year of 1 term following which they will accede to become the President. 

Treasurer
The Treasurer is elected every two years by the Chapter members in good standing.  The Treasurer is the custodian of all monies and dues of the Chapter and pays all authorized bills to the Chapter. The disbursement of all funds is only made upon authorization by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer submits the accounts for audit by members designated by the Board of Directors upon request, and transmits to the successor in office all funds and property of the Chapter in his/her possession. An annual report is also submitted to the Chapter (by newsletter or other). No funds may be expended by or in the name of the Chapter to the extent that the expenditure, if made by the SQA, would represent use of funds for a purpose or for purpose not within the Parent Society’s exempt purposes under section 501(c)(6) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.

Secretary
The Secretary is elected every two years by the Chapter members in good standing. The Secretary is responsible to keep an accurate record of all transactions of all meetings of the Chapter and of the Board of Directors; will carry on the correspondence of the Chapter, and keeps an accurate list of the members and their status, to be updated at a minimum of annually. The Secretary assists the program committee in correspondence and provides organizational support.

Directors
Two Directors are elected every year by the Chapter members in good standing. There are four Directors, each serving for a two year term.  The Directors are responsible for being present at the meetings and to participate in the decision and votes.  The Directors may be assigned to specific committee functions by the President (i.e., Newsletter, Website, Annual Meeting). The Directors may also assist in other areas when requested by the President.
